‘Move and Bloom’ is a program designed to support children to develop and strengthen their motor skills. It is a physical-based group addressing fine and gross motor skills, while also focusing on specific strategies to implement to support sensory and behavioural responses to different environments and situations.
Each session will be focused largely on movement, as we develop your child’s gross motor skills, as well as provide an outlet for sensory regulation. Some sessions will include;
- Teamwork activities
- Obstacle courses, and
- Pretend play.
Each week, there will be a theme, with children encouraged to dress up (there will be some props that will be provided). An information sheet will also be provided to parents, focusing largely on how to support your child’s sensory regulation at home.
‘Move and Bloom’ is suitable for children aged 5-8 years. This group looks to support kids with high energy, or difficulties regulating their emotions whilst interacting with others
