What’s The Buzz is a social skills and emotional literacy program for children of  all ages, which supports them to develop a variety of essential interpersonal skills, stimulated by the experiences of a character called Archie.

In each lesson, the children help Archie solve the very same social dilemmas that occur in their everyday lives. As they do this, through activity, discussion, role-play, games, puzzles and quizzes, they learn how-to express feelings and become a more positive problem solver.

What’s The Buzz programs run for 18 weeks across two school terms.

During the 18 weeks the program covers:

Meeting people and discovering differences, Joining in, Sharing and Taking Turns, Cooperation, Waiting, Making it better, Winning and losing – ‘gracefully’, Fact of opinion: staying friendly over different ideas, Working with feelings, Angry feelings, Building healthy bodies, happy minds and steady feelings, honesty – ‘telling the truth’, Saying, “No”, Empathy, Worry – knowing about it, and dealing with it, and then ime to say goodbye!

  • for early learners: ages 5 to 8 years
